It seems just like yesterday back when we were entering the halls of Taylor's University College, waiting to start the SAM programme a year ago. Now, we have already been given opportunities to pursue what we really want to do in life. Some of us have a change of heart in the end, but that does not matter because it is our happiness and guaranteed satisfaction that matters most. I believe that we have learnt a lot throughout the past year and we have grown in stature and maturity-- for the best is yet to come.
Inevitably, we would all go our separate ways, but take heart of the lessons learnt that will be the foundation of our character building. Most of us, are at HELP University College, pursuing degree programs such as Law, Accounting and Management, Foundation in Arts, and Psychology. Some of us are pursuing Law degrees in Taylor's Law School. One of us would be going to Taylor's Business School to do Commerce degrees. A few of us would be going to KDU for courses such as Mass Communication. One of us would also be going to do Media in LICT.
As alike most people, some of us would be going overseas to Australia to pursue our undergraduate studies in universities in and around Australia. For your information, Ian would be studying Accounting at the University of Adelaide ( leaving on February 9th). On the other hand, Nami would be going to the University of Sydney to study Law/Arts ( leaving on February 14th). Thomas,as you all know, would go RMIT to study Media ( leaving in mid- February). Yee Pei, also would be in Murdoch University studying Mass Communication ( leaving mid- February). As for me, I would be pursuing a Law degree in Murdoch University and I would be leaving on January 28th.
We have achieved our dreams and in reality, the time is now to begin another section of life that would make us successful and define our future careers ahead. We may falter at times, but stand up, draw your swords, and it is time for a new battle. A new beginning, a new frontier and I hope that this year would be a prosperous one for all;). The time is now, let's get up and run the race that is set before us with courage and strength like the Greek warriors of the past and heroes that we look up to. Like the great ruler Napeleon Bonaparte once said," The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be the one who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemies"-- meaning if we take run the race to finish and be in control of the situation, we would emerge victorious, and succeed in whatever undertakings we go through.
Quote of the Day
" Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained."
