i'm not really a big fan of either but i have to say these 2 songs really is something... different kind of sound to it... but here's the question which song is nicer???... in the recent VMAs, in the most important category tht is the best video of tyhe year, rihanna won it with umbrella... HAR!!! i mean seriously, i like the collaboration between rihanna n jay-z n all but seriously, i think justin timberlake n timbaland should've won it... but tht wasnt to be the case... umbrella is an emotional n fren-ish kind of song... but lovestoned is like, lovestoned man!... in love, n plus, u hae the last to minutes where he goes all emo too... its like a perfect blend... quite upbeat at the beginning then end it up with a little sentiment...
talk about the video lah ok... sure umbrella is cool with the silver thingy going on n the water splashing around n an umbrella... but in case u havent watch lovestoned yet, its like damn cool too!!!... u have the sound waves thingy going on with the pure white at the end... back to the singing anyways, justin definitely sunk rihanna in tht department, cos i really think rihanna sings as tho she has a nose block... but then again, who am i to judge... i'm tone deft... i sing like 'william hung' with a bread stuck at his trachea... anyways... i guess the only reason... the 1 n only reason i can think of y umbrella won is b'cos there were dance scenes in it... lovestoned, he didnt really dance... he was more of moving his body thts all... in umbrella, ok fine... the dance scene pretty cool...
but all in all i still think lovestoned should've won... i was rooting for JT to win seriously... i don really like both artists actually... except tht since these 2 songs came out, i've start'd changing my opinions on them... i starting to like rihanna cos she's collaborating with huge producers man... JAY-Z... n she's pretty... i'm rooting for JT only b'cos he is with jessica biel... jessica biel is F-I-N-E or H-O-T... or both... ok lah, oso b'cos he has style lah... n he can sing... but back to my main subject... who really should've won???... i don noe, u tell me...
personally, none of the above can beat Linkin Park's bleed it out... i mean, LP produces some of the best music of modern day... rap + rock + art... best combination of all... plus they write their own songs n produce their own unique sound... bleed it out, is by far 1 of their best songs n video clip... rock is an under rated genre nowadays... R&B seems to be having all the glory... watever happen'd to nice rock man... the LPs... the NICKELBACKs... the BON JOVIs... the CLICK 5... ahhh... bet u didnt think i was gonna say click 5 ay... fyi, they can really make good pop-rock music man... no kidding... btw, i'm only talking about modern day rock bands... don get me start'd with the classics... anyways, i'm not gonna name some newer bands... even fall out boys as a matter of fact... cos i don think their music mean anything... or maybe i'm just being bias... prove me wrong with a song...
so, yea... tell me wats yr take on this subject... i mean, every1 has their diff taste of music after all...
just another short word... try our local bands n groups... their just as good man... estranged, disagree, edge of fire, jason lo, ruffedge, VE, spider... move a little to the rite of malaysia, indonesia... PETERPAN n adra n the backbone... thumbs up to them man...
anyways... song of the day... who else... Linkin Park- bleed it out... it'll get u so upbeat u can beat asafa powell in a 100m sprint event...
