Have you ever heard people asking us Sarawakians whether we still live in the jungles, hunt for food and wear clothing made out of leaves?If I was asked so, I would proudly say yes. Why?? Because YOU will never get the taste of it if you are NOT A SARAWAKIAN! When people just start to make fun of you because you are a SARAWAKIAN, you should be proud, WHY??
1. We have the second largest International airport in Malaysia.While others might not even have any. We have FIVE major airports, while others might not have one.
2. Car fuel is the cheapest here and SARAKIAN do not get to pay tols!
3. We have two official cities, Kuching and Miri and soon Sibu, while other states might only have a town. ( Even SELANGOR only have one! )
4. We are still the main reason why tourists come to Malaysia, for our Mulu Caves beaches, people, and foods! ( do u get to see 'ang moh' wandering in your town?? )
5. Two out of the popular singers and now is in Taiwan are from Sarawak
(Nicholas Teo and Lim Yu Zhong) (not to mention JasonLo from hitz.fm)
6. The whole of Brunei island does not envy Malaysia. They envy Sarawak. ( Why?? )
( Sarawak is the richest state and have the most raw materials compare to other states ) ( Thanks Sarawak for contributing their economies for developing WEST MALAYSIA )
7. The most air travelers in Malaysia are from Sarawak. Almost all Sarawakians have at least traveled once or twice with airplane, compared to the west Malaysians.
8. We have our own daily newspaper: namely Sarawak Tribune, Borneo Post and International Times.
9. Everytime there's a reality show,our contestants always reach respectful levels.
10. We live in harmony, not just with Malay, Indian and Chinese, but also with Iban, Bidayuh, Melanau, Kelabit etc.The term Sarawak truly Asia is more like it.
11.First 'Amazing Race' ever was held in Kuching, Sarawak.
12. Most of us Sarawakians speak at least 4 different languages. ( How abt u? Some west malaysia chinese don even know how to speak chinese! )
13. MAS CEO from Sarawak, Sin Chiew daily news' (the biggest newspaper company in Malaysia) founder is from Sarawak.
14. Last but not least, SARAWAK FOODS! I bet u can't find it all here!!
So, get over with it and start TO LOVE US!
